001 White Zombie

I figured I'd kick off week 1 with the zombie that always stands front and center. His name is "White Zombie", and that is pronounced WHITE ZOMBIE!!!!! I went for the drowned corpse look, and I think it works well.

Vamps take on High Elves, First Time Out

Ok so I got massacred this last weekend by the highelves, but I'm looking at it as a learning experience. Not only was it my first game with teh new Vamp book since y first game against J, but it was also my first time facing a dragon or High Elves. So you see here the largest High Elf dragon, and yes it stomped my ass. One I somehow forgot about the fact that this thing can challenge. So I figure the only real thing that could have stood up to this thing was my Lorn, unfortunatly he was in the center of the field with my infantry. I did get a cool 3 wound charge with the coach, but then it dies in one hit form the dragon, oops. Ah well I still think it was worth it. BAsically this thing destroyed about half my army but I did get it down to 2 wounds, thats not worth much though.

Here some of what happed other than the dragon, I didn't do well there either.

Hazzah, I pwned this side of the board. Mostly because it was empty though.

Here is the end of turn one, I forgot to take pics of every turn. I gotta admit that dragon is pretty damn cool looking. And the beating it gave me may just have inspired me to actually put together the dragon I've had collecting dust at the bottom of my tackle box for about 4 years.

The zombs actually got destroyed by a spell , only one left to defend the flank, yeah that bad. It was crazy how the High Elves dominated the magic phase. Only 6 dispel dice but with +2 he dominated. Nehek actually getting the four in needs about 25% of the time was not a good day either.

HEy this match up actually worked, The hosts had enough unit strength to send these guys running on the 3rd round of combat. they also chased off an archer unit. Spirit Hosts are becoming my favorite unit, anybody got some old Empire or Bretonia guys thay want to donate?

Yes the dragon wins, a zomb resurection actually stalled the flank charge but not long enough. Didn't really matter though, the black knights were soon to fall as it was.

Ah, getting stomped can be painful but it happens to everyone. I learned a bit about the High Elves and hopefully Ill do better next time.Like take my fighty vamps and maybe get some +dispel items myself. Still stumped really on how to take out a dragon with the Vamps, other than having my own lord on a dragon. The list doesn't really have much for shooting so if you got some ideas let me know. I have a feeling dragons are going to be very popular in the new wave of warhammer.

Zombie Love

Yeah, so Im going to start trying putting up 2 posts a week. One of these will be the "Zombie of the Week", where I will feature a single zombie I have painted. Zombies are by far my favorite unit in all of Warhammer. There my unit that is just fun all around and doesnt have to have a theme at all, plus they play ok too. Yes, some may say isnt posting a seperate post for each zombie in your army a bit extreme. These people just do not understand the measure of my love for the shabbling undead horde.

Also trying to finish my Vargulf by tommorrow so I'll post that soon as well.

Going Green

Here is my first attempt at using green stuff, it's the rhinox from the Ogre Scraplauncher. I decided to give his face more hair, I felt it was more rugged.


Basically this model forced me into Green Stuff, as the gaps were just too much to take. Wish I had it way back when I painted my Fell Bats.

I just figured I'd post my incredibly neat and organized paint station. Yes, this is where my armies come together, it's also where I eat my breakfast.

Big J Bug
